It seems that for many people this is a time of personal reflection. Over the past three and a half weeks as I walked around "The Loop" --as the walking path around the Seward Park peninsula is fondly called-- I have been privileged to see REFLECTIONS in Lake Washington and in a puddle on the walking path itself.   

What started out as an observation turned into a three and a half week personal project.  To capture the reflections on the water I walked around the loop sometimes two or three times each day, sometimes ran to catch up to a sculler, got my shoes and feet wet, scratched up my legs from the thorny bushes that I went through, and practiced lots and lots of patience waiting--waiting for the water to be still, waiting for the turtles to go up on the log, waiting for the turtles + calm water, waiting for someone to go by the puddle at the right angle, etc..  There are many more shots I want to capture.  I will need to wait until the water is still again and the sunlight and clouds all line up and yes, wait for the turtles, birds,  animals and maybe even a boat!
