Into the park after dark, the mountain is lit from the almost full moon.

Next day: Mountain view a few minutes before and after sunset.

Exploring a forest along the Paradise River, Paradise Falls, and coming upon a view of the vertical face of adjacent mountain peaks. 

Notice the icicles along the riverbank, the interesting water landscape, and the fish shaped ice on the river.

A GRAY JAY--yes, this is the bird's name!--resting on our walking pole hoping to get a bite of our lunch.
