Cannon Beach-Same Place, Different Look

Until my love affair with photography, I didn't realize the effect light and weather play in how we perceive our environment, how they create a mood and how they affect the color of skin, water, earth, and of just about anything!  I also didn't pay much attention to how texture plays into our connection with a scene.   I share this set of pictures to show the affects of light, weather, and texture on how we see and feel/connect to a scene.  The wet sand acts as a great reflector and directs our attention to the depth, shape, and texture of the sand.

This set of pictures begins with early morning fog, moves on to clearing skies, approaching sunset (the one vertical picture), sunset, and concludes with a cloudy morning.  The last picture is looking toward Ecola hill and other haystacks at the northern tip of Cannon Beach.

The pictures are displayed in the order they were taken over a period of two days and at low tide.
